Putting My Experience
My wife Cindy and I have called Murray home for the past 33 years. We raised our five kids here in Murray. All of them attended Longview Elementary, Hillcrest Junior High, and graduated from Murray High School.
I've had the privilege of working in the financial industry for 40 years and retired from Cyprus Credit Union as their Vice President. My duties as VP included overseeing the Department Directors of Lending, Human Resources, Collections, Auditing, and Marketing. Working hand in hand with these executives was the key to my success.
For ten years, I've had the honor of serving as a Murray City Council member for the citizens of District 5. I have always been known for my open-door policy. I love hearing from my constituents, and I will continue to be a tireless advocate for the citizens of Murray.
During my time on the city council, I have been a responsible steward of our tax dollars. I know first-hand the way families watch their budgets and believe government should do the same. As a result, the city enjoys a $10 million budget surplus and the lowest property taxes in the state.
